Christina and Annette first met at the Florida School of Traditional Midwifery, where they quickly discovered a shared calling for birth work and a deep love for family and community. From study sessions and exams to clinical rotations and long talks about the future, their friendship grew into something truly special—a bond that carried them through the intensity of midwifery school and into professional life. During their time as students, Annette found a fabulous opportunity at In Due Season, a thriving birth center practice in Spring Hill, and she helped Christina secure a coveted mentoring and training position there for the summer of 2024. Together, they encouraged each other through finals, the NARM exam, and state licensure, supporting one another through anxious moments with an unshakable sense of trust and balance—a true yin and yang dynamic. They sat for their licensing exams just days apart and proudly became Florida Licensed Midwives #478 and #479. 

After graduation, Annette stayed on track to join In Due Season as a primary midwife at the Spring Hill location, while Christina returned to Pensacola to start a small home birth practice and offer travel midwifery services to clinics in need of extra hands. Though miles apart, the connection between them remained unshakable, with frequent chats and visits keeping their bond alive. As the months passed, Christina began to feel the weight of solitude in her practice. While her skills were being put to good use, she couldn't shake the longing for the camaraderie, friendship, and deep-rooted joy she experienced at In Due Season-first as a student, and later as a visiting midwife. The absence of that support and sisterhood made it clear: something was missing. It was time to choose happiness, trust God's guidance, and follow her heart. In a beautiful twist of fate, her husband was soon transferred to a new market-one that would make Christina and Annette neighbors. With this move, Christina found herself exactly where she was meant to be: back among friends, back in community, and back on the path her heart had known all along.
Now reunited and practicing side by side, Christina and Annette continue to support families with love, skill, and deep respect for the transformative journey of birth. Their story is still unfolding-but one thing is certain: they are exactly where they belong, and the best is yet to come!
